Anyone who was around New York in 1983 when Metallica fired Dave Mustaine, drove him to the bus station and sent him on his way back to California without a handshake probably couldn’t imagine the fiery guitarist bouncing back soon after with a new band, Megadeth.
Killing Is My Business… And Business Is Good!, was Megadeth's debut in June 12, 1985- Vic Rattlehead also made his first appearance with the release of this record- going on to be one of the most well-known icons in heavy metal.
Part of what made the album so intense was Mustaine’s effort to prove that Megadeth wouldn’t play second fiddle to Metallica or anyone else. The living conditions band members suffered through when they worked on the songs only added salt to Mustaine’s ever-open wound. If the band sounds pained it’s because they were, both physically and emotionally. For much of the time, they had no place to live and often crashed in their ventilation-free studio, which had no bathroom and no running water. Sometimes they slept in cars on the street.
This is a Heavy Metal Carpark Tee. Some metal thrashin' maniac spent all his beer money on his own line of Megadeth merch to sell from the boot of his car before the Megadeth show on their "So Far, So Good... So What?" tour of the USA and Canada in 1988- and we have one that has survived to keep tellin' the story.
It is thin, super soft, with white 3/4 sleeves and white neckline.
